SLEEP FAQ’s
-
A good sleep consultant will change your life – it’s as simple as that. They will identify what changes you need to make to your child’s routine, give you an individualised plan to help your child self-settle and be responsive to any changes that are required during the support period.
They support families to get the sleep that they deserve!

There are many methods out there. I use a very gentle approach. I take a holistic view of your child including their current sleep routine, temperament, naps and feeding schedules. Using my method provides your child with the scaffolds required to support them to self settle.
-
Short answer- no! If you want to continue to co-sleep that is absolutely fine. What I can support you with is to help your little one to self settle. This helps to build good skills for when or if there comes a time where you do not wish to co-sleep.
-
No, it is your choice how you feed your little one and I would never ask you to change this. What I can support you with is if your little one has become reliant on feeding to settle to sleep. So they have a sleep association with feeding. Depending on age we would work together to build a night feeding structure so baby only feeds when hungry. I would then support you to help your little begin to build independent skills to allow them to self settle.
-
Some tears are to be expected as change can be unsettling and it is natural for a little one to show some resistance. But I will NEVER ask you to leave your child cry it out. My approach is to fully support you to support your child.

The time frame is different for each child but I normally see changes in as little as 5 to 7 days. Within 2 weeks you will start to have a child who self settles, sleeps most of the night (wakes for feeds depending on age) and has good naps.
